Welcome to Camerata Reg'd Kennels' Bedlington
Terrier page.
We
are a small kennel, located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. We use
both DNA tests and liver biopsy techniques
to lead us to our goal of typey, sound, loving Bedlingtons free
from Copper Toxicosis.
We feel that
importing top quality breeding stock from the country of origin
(The United Kingdom) is very important. In general, we feel that
the quality and consistency in type of carefully selected bloodlines
from the UK is second to none.
Some of the finest
available bloodlines from England and Canada go into the make-up
of a Camerata Bedlington. In addition to our commitment to the health
of our bloodline, we are dedicated to preserving what we consider
to be proper breed type: Bedlingtons of correct size, not coarse
nor too fine, proper coat texture and colour and sound movement.
Following in the
footsteps of our previous imports, Rathsrigg
Rennington and CH Rathsrigg
Solitaire, we are excited to welcome our newest import from
the Rathsrigg kennel in the UK! Rathsrigg Mine Cut has arrived!!!!!
He is by Eng. CH Rathsrigg Ranolph ex Eng. CH Mollora
Erigeron. A repeat breeding of our Romeo! We hope that he will
continue the tradition of excellent type and soundness which the
Rathsrigg kennel is renowned for producing.
Every dog born
at Camerata must be DNA tested and liver
biopsied at the appropriate age. In addition, we ensure that all
our resident dogs have an annual eye examination. As concerned breeders,
we insist on the DNA test and the biopsy of all our dogs because
we care about each individual puppy we produce, and because we need
such information to aid in our decisions for our breeding program.
Every dog is important, not just the ones in the show rings.
Our commitment to
our dogs extends to their owners as well. We stand behind all of
our dogs for the lifetime of that dog. Owners know that they can
call on us at anytime and for any reason, and they will be provided
with whatever help that we can offer.
Feel free to look
around our site. If you have any questions at all just contact
us and we will be happy to try and help you.
